Symptoms Arises Due to Alcohol Withdrawal Programs

Today, most of the people of the modernized world are showing their more and more interest towards the addiction on drinking alcohol. Alcohol drinking is a bad habit which results in the generation of several dangerous problems. Once a person becomes fully dependent on the drinking habit he or she faces lots of problems in the adoption of so called alcohol withdrawal program. The symptoms of an alcohol withdrawal can be mild as well as severe too which totally depends on the amount and period o the addiction. Most of the adopter of an alcohol withdrawal program use to opt it in the morning time as in the morning time he level of so called alcohol use to fallen overnight.

What is the reason behind generation of Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms
The main reason behind the generation of alcohol withdrawal symptoms after the adoption of alcohol withdrawal program is the toxicity of an alcohol that toxifies the drunker body after the commitment of each drinking event. It is a fact that a human body an adapt itself to he ingestion of huge amount of alcohol but if the level of alcohol in an human body who is fond of drinking fall beyond the limit definitely he or she will not offered by the proper functioning organs.

Symptoms of Alcohol Withdrawal

The falling of blood stream level in the human body is one of the major causes of the generation of an alcohol withdrawal symptoms. The other alcohol withdrawal symptom includes the generation of problems like anxiety, tremor, nausea and vomiting. The adopter of an alcohol withdrawal program also notifies the certain symptoms like insomnia, loss of appetite, changes in cardiovascular as well as sweating too. The symptoms mentioned above are the common symptoms that arise after the adoption of a particular alcohol withdrawal; program and these symptoms are not severe in nature.

The patient who opts for the alcohol withdrawal program also notifies some serious alcohol withdrawal symptoms like changes in heart rate, changes in blood pressure and respiratory rate. Some of the sufferer of alcohol withdrawal symptoms also offered by the severe problems like Coma and extreme agitation if tie problem is not treated at an early stage.
The symptoms arise after the adoption of an alcohol withdrawal program use to provide painful experience to both the patient as well as his or her family too. Hence one must opt for the right alcohol withdrawal program under the guidance of a healthcare professional.

Alcoholics Anonymous History And Its Initial Christian Roots

Alcoholics Anonymous History and Its Initial Christian Roots

How They’ve Been Forgotten; And How They Can Help Recovery Today

Learn About Them

I am one of the tens of thousands (probably hundreds of thousands) of Christians who deeply appreciate the recovery from alcoholism and addiction that Alcoholics Anonymous made possible in our lives. Many of us have been criticized for mentioning Jesus Christ and the Bible in our talks at meetings. But most of us know that God is our sufficiency. We pray to Him in the name of Jesus Christ. And we recover.

Many of us who are Christians involved in A.A. do believe in God, the accomplishments of His Son Jesus Christ, and the truth about both that is found in the Bible. Many of us, as Christian members of Alcoholics Anonymous, had no idea whatsoever that early A.A. was a Christian fellowship, that its members believed in God, surrendered to Jesus Christ, and studied the Bible on a daily basis. Many of us had no idea whatsoever that the early, Christian-oriented A.A. claimed an overall 75% success rate among the “seemingly-hopeless,” “medically-incurable,” “last gasp case” alcoholics who thoroughly followed the pioneer A.A. program. And many of us never learned that the Original Akron program is summarized rather well in on page 131 of the A.A. General Service Conference-approved book, DR. BOB and the Good Oldtimers.

How could so many of us have been unaware of these facts?

The answer, in part, is that, as the First Edition of A.A.’s Big Book manuscript was being written and edited in 1938 and early 1939, many additions, omissions, and changes were made to the highly-successful Akron Christian program Bill W. and Dr. Bob began developing in the summer of 1935. For example, as Bill W. stated on pages 166-67 of the A.A. General Service Conference-approved book, Alcoholics Anonymous Comes of Age:

We [Bill W., Hank P., Ruth Hock, and John Henry Fitzhugh M.] were still arguing about the Twelve Steps. All this time I had refused to budge on these steps. I would not change a word of the original draft, in which, you will remember, I had consistently used the word “God,” and in one place the expression “on our knees” was used. Praying to God on one’s knees was still a big affront to Henry. He argued, he begged, he threatened. He quoted Jimmy [B.—i.e., Jim Burwell] to back him up. . . . Though at first I would have none of it, we finally began to talk about the possibility of compromise. . . . In Step Two we decided to describe God as a “Power greater than ourselves.” In Steps Three and Eleven we inserted the words “God as we understood Him.” From Step Seven we deleted the expression “on our knees.” . . . Such were the final concessions to those of little or no faith; this was the great contribution of our atheists and agnostics. [Emphasis added]

Bill W.’s wife Lois spoke about another major change on page 113 of her autobiography, Lois Remembers:

Finally it was agreed that the book should present a universal spiritual program, not a specific religious one, since all drunks were not Christian.

Such major changes to the Original Akron A.A. “Christian Fellowship” program obscured the simple solution the A.A. pioneers in Akron discovered; specifically, that a cure from alcoholism was available through reliance on Almighty God, coming to Him through His Son Jesus Christ, and reading and studying the Bible—along with the other principles and practices of the early days. [For the Frank Amos summary of the Original Akron A.A. “Program,” and the other principles and practices of the Akron fellowship, see: Dick B. and Ken B., The Dick B. Christian Recovery Manual (Kihei, HI: Paradise Research Publications, Inc., 2009), 44-46, 49.]

The Lesson from the First Three AAs

Early AAs knew one another. They visited one another. They had address books with the phone numbers (if a given member had a phone) and addresses of the other members. And they kept rosters which showed the sobriety dates and sobriety history of the members.

The 75% overall success rate early A.A. claimed was remarkable because it was attained by what Bill W. called the “seemingly-hopeless,” “medically-incurable,” “last gasp” cases who gave their all to God and received the blessed healing and deliverance that followed. Bill W. and Dr. Bob did indeed state that there were “failures galore.” But there weren’t failures galore among the real hardcore members who turned to God and gave the program everything they had.

A very important part of the historical record is how the first three AAs got sober in late 1934 and in 1935. When they got sober:

There was no Big Book (Alcoholics Anonymous was published in April 1939);

There were no Twelve Steps;

There were no Twelve Traditions;

There were no “drunkalogs”; and

There were no “meetings to make”—at least of the kinds normally seen in today’s A.A.

The Creator of the heavens and the earth was there. See, for example, Alcoholics Anonymous, 4th ed.:

“my Creator” (page 13)

“My Creator” (76)

“our Creator” (pages 25, 68, 72, 75, 83)

“a living Creator” (page 28);

“his Creator” (page 56, 80, 158)

“their loving and All Powerful Creator” (page 161)

The “Great Physician,” Jesus Christ, was there. See, for example: Dick B., The Conversion of Bill W.: More on the Creator’s Role in Early A.A. (Kihei, HI: Paradise Research Publications, Inc., 2006), 59ff.

The Bible (which Dr. Bob often called the “Good Book”) was there. See, for example, page 13 of the A.A. General Service Conference-approved pamphlet, The Co-Founders of Alcoholics Anonymous (Item # P-53; available for reading online at http://aa.org/pdf/products/p-53_theco-foundersofAA.pdf; accessed 8/5/09):

At that point, our stories didn’t amount to anything to speak of. When we started in on Bill D., we had no Twelve Steps, either; we had no Traditions.

But we were convinced that the answer to our problems was in the Good Book. To some of us older ones, the parts that we found absolutely essential were the Sermon on the Mount, the thirteenth chapter of First Corinthians, and the Book of James.

A.A. Number One, Bill W., learned from Dr. Silkworth that Jesus Christ could cure him. Bill learned from his old drinking friend Ebby Thacher that Ebby had been to the altar at Calvary Rescue Mission, and been reborn, causing Ebby to tell Bill that God had done for him (Ebby) what Ebby could not do for himself. Bill then went to Calvary Church itself. He heard Ebby give testimony from the pulpit; and Bill decided that he too needed help and needed the same help that Ebby had received. Bill then went to the altar at Calvary Rescue Mission, made a decision for Christ, wrote that he had been born again for sure, and then decided to seek the help of the “Great Physician,” Jesus Christ. Deeply depressed and despairing, Bill proceeded drunk to Towns Hospital where he was greeted by Dr. Silkworth. At Towns Hospital, Bill cried out for help, had a dramatic spiritual “white light” experience, perceived that he had been in the presence of the “God of the Scriptures” (as Bill wrote on page 284 of The Language of the Heart), and never drank again. Bill proclaimed he never again doubted the existence of God. And his message became: “The Lord has cured me of this terrible disease, and I just want to keep talking about it and telling people.” (Alcoholics Anonymous, 4th ed., 191) No Big Book. No Twelve Steps. No Twelve Traditions. No drunkalogs. No meetings. Just the power and love of God that Bill had sought and relied upon.

A.A. Number Two, Dr. Bob S.,–a Christian since his youth in St. Johnsbury, Vermont–prayed for deliverance on the rug at the home of T. Henry Williams in Akron. Miraculously, help showed up quite soon in the form of a visit of Bill W. to Akron. Henrietta Seiberling declared Bill’s visit to be “Manna from Heaven.” Bill soon moved in with Dr. Bob and his wife, studied the Bible with them, and nursed Dr. Bob back from one, brief and last binge. Dr. Bob never drank again thereafter and told the nurse at City Hospital that he and Bill had found a cure for alcoholism. No Big Book. No Twelve Steps. No Twelve Traditions. No drunkalogs. No meetings. Just the power and love of God that Dr. Bob had sought and relied upon. Dr. Bob closed his story in the Big Book with these words:

Your Heavenly Father will never let you down!

Bill W. and Dr. Bob sought out another drunk to help. They found A.A. Number Three, the hospitalized Akron attorney Bill D., also a Christian. After Bill D. heard what Bill W. and Dr. Bob had to share, Bill D. decided to entrust his life to God’s care. Shortly, when Bill W. and Dr. Bob returned to the hospital, Bill D. told them what had happened. Bill D. then left the hospital a free man and never drank again. He had been told to find other drunks to help; and he did so. No Big Book. No Twelve Steps. No Twelve Traditions. No drunkalogs. No meetings. Just the power and love of God that Bill D. had sought and relied upon. Bill D. found himself echoing Bill W.’s statement on page 191 of the Fourth Edition of Alcoholics Anonymous:

The Lord has cured me of this terrible disease, and I just want to keep talking about it and telling people.

Bill D. called Bill W.’s statement the “golden text of A.A.” for him and for others.

What These Three Stories Show Us Today

Three men! The first three AAs. All healed by the power of God—never to drink again!

What they did is scarcely known by AAs and recovery workers today. I know, for I have spoken and written about it in front of audiences all over the United States and in Canada—in person, in books, in articles, in emails, in phone calls, and on radio and television. Yet that is the message they seem hungry to hear.

These first three AAs recovered by the power of God. Because of their experience, other “seemingly-hopeless,” “medically-incurable,” “last gasp case” alcoholics, who thoroughly followed the early Akron A.A. “Christian Fellowship” program path, were able to recover by the power of God. But what I especially hope you, the reader, will take away from this discussion is that what was done in 1935 and the next three years can be done and is being done today.

Benefitting Today from the “Lessons Learned” by A.A.’s Pioneers

I’m a proponent of A.A. I recovered immediately when I entered the rooms of A.A. in 1986 and have never relapsed since. I have had complete release from alcoholism and addiction. I credit the support I received in A.A., the work I did in learning the program of recovery in the Steps and helping others to take those Steps, and the complete dedication I had to the A.A. way. But I have never for one moment doubted that God must ultimately receive the credit—just as He received the credit from the mouths of the first three AAs—Bill W., Dr. Bob S., and Bill D.

When a Christian in A.A. is buffeted with intemperate remarks from others about the Creator of the heavens and the earth, His Son Jesus Christ, the Bible, his faith, or his church, he needs to stand solid on the real recovery factor that is available in A.A. today, just as it was available in the Christian Fellowship founded in Akron in 1935. A.A. was founded on statements such as this: God could and would if He were sought. He can. He will. He does. And He is available to every drunk or addict who wants to seek and obey Him. That was proved in 1935. It is being proved today among those Christians in recovery who choose to avail themselves of His help. And His help—the help of the Creator of the heavens and the earth—stands at the ready awaiting a call from those who believe. Those in prisons, jails, mental wards, hospitals, A.A., N.A., other Twelve Step Fellowships, the Armed Forces, veterans facilities, homeless shelters, treatment programs, rehabs, detoxes, and counseling offices. Anywhere! Anywhere at all!

Alcoholism Facts

One of the most important alcoholism facts is that people abuse alcohol to get sense of well being for their own relaxation. Another remarkable alcoholism fact is tolerance to it increases with the regular consumption of alcohol every day. Let’s say a person drinks alcohol on a regular basis, his/her tolerance or capacity increases with the time.

This means he would have to take more alcohol and more frequently to get that feeling of well being for him or herself. Other important alcoholism fact is that the effects of same amount, quality and intake have different effects on different body of people. That means the effects differ severely from person to person. For example, if one addict has severe liver damage the other has pancreatitis. However, it is interesting to note that the first organ to bear the impact of the alcohol intake is always the stomach. That is because of the acidic nature of alcohol.

In women’s the alcohol intake is becoming more common and it causes severe problems in women than in men. Women tend to lose control more easily which can ruin their married life as well as their social life.

Liver damage is one of the most common health problems amongst alcoholic cures and addicts, beginning with hepatitis and ending with cirrhosis. The liver gets affected more severely. As we know, the liver is the organ responsible for production of many enzymes, clotting factors and breakdown of food. Therefore, damage to liver disrupts many body functions. Therefore, as far as possible we should stay away from heavy use of alcohol, otherwise the intake will be proved fatal.

I’m Feeling Abused – Where Can I Find A Codependency Quiz?

Codependency can derail a relationship, and it can derail a life. What’s scary is codependency is a silent stalker, it doesn’t jump out from behind a dark corner and attack. It has a different style. Codependency plants itself in more subtle ways into your life, usually without you even knowing.

The behaviors can be learned from parents, siblings, friends, or anyone with whom you have significant contact. These people unfortunately do not even know when they are exhibiting codependent behaviors, so unless you have someone beside you at all times who can call “out of bounds” for unhealthy relational behaviors, you can acquire these behaviors along the way.

Codependency No More offers a comprehensive codependency quiz to help codependency sufferers begin to determine whether they are having issues with codependency. The codependency quiz asks questions to get the quiz-taker thinking

Putting a stop to codependency necessitates a strong individual saying, “I’m willing to put myself before my relationship.” That level of self-respect can be enough to begin nudging a codependency sufferer in the right direction toward straightening out the issues or leaving the relationship altogether if necessary. This can be more feasible when the relationship is romantic. Sometimes however we find ourselves in family relationships where this issue can surface its ugly head, and it’s often harder to sever a relationship with a parent or sibling. Whatever the case, when a relationship is too toxic to bring health and support to either party, it takes a concerted from both parties in order to take a turn for the better. Otherwise, it is usually necessary for one party to withdraw from that relationship until the individual is emotionally strong enough to interact again without feeling manipulated or abused.

The codependent frame of mind lends itself to self-fulfilling prophecy in that codependents tend to unknowingly seek out abusers. Thoughts lead to actions, and repeated action becomes habit. Since bad habits stem from negative thoughts, changing habits begins with the intentional changing of thought. In this sense, it’s never too late to get on a healthier relationship path.

And getting on that path begins with admitting the problem and learning about its true nature. Luckily, there are people around us who want to help. Some of them volunteer, some get paid, some make a full-time career out of helping those with issues of codependency and addiction. Many of us who suffer from codependency don’t have the means to pay for treatment or therapy. If this is the case, a great way to get started is by seeking out quality information about the condition. An excellent resource can be found at http://www.codependencynomore.com. The site offers a free 8-part mini-course available at the bottom of the page.

The codependency quiz in this link will soon be revamped to ask questions in a variety of formats to help you determine if you are in fact struggling with codependency issues.

Know more about Alcohol Withdrawal Treatment

Alcoholism is a very serious condition that is seen to be common all over the world. Many succumbed to it because of years upon years of alcohol intake. Age is not really a determinant of the onset of alcohol dependence although the majority profile of this condition are people in their 40′s and are usually male. Alcohol dependence is a huge problem because you cannot easily walk away from it. It is something that you have to fight and win over. If you want to be free from its grip you will have to endure alcohol withdrawal. Many people know about withdrawal and some of its symptoms but are usually unaware of its details and the whole picture of its severity. Fortunately alcohol withdrawal treatment is available to anyone who needs it.

Alcohol withdrawal covers anxiety, irritability, insomnia and agitation as its main symptoms. But this could also include other things like fever, aggressive behavior, mental disturbance, rapid heartbeat, seizures, mental disturbance and even delirium tremens (DT). The severity of these things would differ from one alcoholic person to the next. Sometimes knowing what to expect can help in dealing with withdrawal. It also allows people who are trying to quit alcohol to hold on and persevere.

The first thing that must be done for a person who is in withdrawal is to treat “tangible” conditions first. When they are brought to the hospital they must be checked for injuries, rapid heartbeat and even hypertension (which is quite common in alcoholic people). A physical examination must be done to identify these health problems. Doctors must also prioritize calming the person down and observe him for two hours just to get an idea how severe the withdrawal is. Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment (CIWA) is usually employed to know objectively how to go about the problem and identify the right intervention for the patient.

Alcoholism experts and doctors have three options for alcoholic withdrawal treatment. The first one is to introduce anti depression or anti anxiety drugs. Second is to have the person undergo therapy sessions and lastly, integrate these two approaches for faster withdrawal process.

Common medication is benzodiazepines. These drugs usually calm down the central nervous system. This can help the person grab a hold of his mental faculties. The stress hormones flooding in an alcoholic person’s system during withdrawal are controlled with these drugs. The common problem for this medication is that it is also prone to abuse and usually lose its effectiveness when administered in long periods of time. It can also have its own withdrawal issues when alcoholic people stop taking them.

Alcoholism Facts – Ten You Should Definitely Know

Check out this quick list of alcoholism facts. I’m sure you’ll be surprised at some of the items in this list. Alcoholism cuts across gender, race, and nationality.

Learning about the disease and how to protect yourself from it is essential.

Here are the ten facts on alcoholism you should know (at least in my opinion).

The Top Ten Facts on Alcoholism:

For most adults, moderate drinking is considered to be – up to two drinks per day for men and one drink per day for women.
Research shows that the risk of developing alcoholism does indeed run in families. One study showed there is a three- to four- fold prevalence of alcohol dependence among first-degree relatives to an alcoholic when compared to people of the general population.

Alcohol dependence and alcohol abuse cost the United States an estimated $220 billion in 2005. This dollar amount was more than the cost associated with cancer ($196 billion) and obesity ($133 billion).
Alcohol and caffeine are the two most widely abused substances in the world.

According to the NIAAA (The National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism), in the United States, 17.6 million people-about l in every 12 adults-abuse alcohol or are alcohol dependent.

It is not safe to drink during pregnancy. Although the highest risk is to babies whose mothers drink heavily, it is not clear yet whether there is any completely safe level of alcohol during pregnancy.

Alcohol problems are highest among young adults ages 18-29 and lowest among adults ages 65 and older.

Alcohol affects older people differently. Alcohol’s effects do vary with age. Slower reaction times, problems with hearing and seeing, and a lower tolerance to alcohol’s effects put older people at higher risk for falls, car crashes, and other types of injuries that may result from drinking.

Alcohol affects women differently than men. Women become more impaired than men do after drinking the same amount of alcohol, even when differences in body weight are taken into account. This is because women’s bodies have less water than men’s bodies.

Studies have shown that moderate drinkers are less likely to die from one form of heart disease than are people who do not drink any alcohol or who drink more.

These are just a small portion of the alcoholism facts out there. But these are just that, alcoholism facts.

If you think you might have a problem with alcohol and you want help then visit my website – details in the resource box below,

By the way in which country do you think 48 percent of men binge drink at least once a week?

According to a London Press Associated study, 48% of Irish men binge drink at least once a week, compared to 40% in England and 9% in France.

¬ Red Face Alcohol – symptoms, causes, cures

Red Face Alcohol – the symptoms

A huge number of Asians (about 50%) and a lesser number of non Asians (5%-10%) experience very annoying and (most often unknown to suffers) life threatening symptoms when consuming alcoholic beverages, the most common of these symptoms being red face when consuming alcohol.

¬The condition is called many names:

Asian Blush
Asian Flush
Asian Glow
Asian Girl Glow
Alcohol Intolerance
Alcohol Allergy
Red Face Alcohol

note: much of the information on this page is from the alcohol red face website where there is a lot of good information on this condition.

¬Here is a list of the possible symptoms of this condition:

Red Face (often a very bright, beet like red) – [very common symptom]
Redness in patches on different areas of the body such as the shoulders, chest, thighs – [very common]
A prickly feeling, most usually, in the face - [very common symptom]
A feeling of hotness around the face - [very common symptom]
A feeling of congestion in the head. Quite often this symptom can be extremely intense - [very common symptom]
headache
Itchiness of the skin which can occur at any part of the body but most commonly wherever any redness is occurring- [very common symptom]
A hangover the next day that is way more intense than it should be relative to the amount of alcohol consumed - [very common symptom] (this condition specifically is referred to as the ‘Asian Hangover’
Difficulty breathing, sort of an asthma attack sensation - [less common symptom]
Nausea - [less common symptom]
Vomiting - [less common symptom]
The one GOOD side effect or symptom is that people with the alcohol red face condition are much less likely to ever become alcoholics simply because all the symptoms associated with the Asian Glow condition are unpleasant and greatly interfere with enjoyment of the alcohol.

You might experience only one of these symptoms, you might experience all of them, or somewhere in between. I varied from individual to individual.

The one thing you need to keep in mind is that you will NOT necessarily experience any of these symptoms EVERY single time your drink. I personally have the alcohol red face condition myself and that was one of the oddest things about it. Sometimes I could consume alcohol 4 or 5 times without any symptoms and then all of a sudden, out of the blue, I would get hit with these symptoms again.

Red Face Alcohol – the cause

Alcohol is a foreign and unnatural substance to the human body. Even if consumed only moderately and irregularly alcohol is still a substance that the body never has a need for. As such in order to digest alcohol when it is consumed take a special digestive process that is much different from when food is consumed.

Unlike food your body can not store alcohol. If you consume food to excess your body stores it for later energy in the form of fat. If you consume ANY alcohol, even just one alcoholic beverage, to your body that is excess. So if you consume even just a few drinks your body has to immediately and swiftly process, digest, and eliminate the alcohol. This is very stressful for the body and all organs related to the process of the digestion of alcohol. Most stressed is the liver. (God never expected us to drink that is why he, she, sorry girls, only gave us 1 liver). To digest the alcohol in your system you liver produces a special enzyme. The very act of this enzyme interacting with the alcohol in your system produces a waste product. Most people, people who do not get the Asian Glow or Asian Flush, their bodies flush this waste product without an issue. In red face alcohol sufferers this is not the case. As alcohol is consumed and this waste product builds up in the bloodstream the above symptoms start to occur.

For those more scientific minded here is the technical explanation straight from wikipedia ”a condition in which the face and/or body experiences flushes or blotches, due to an accumulation of acetaldehyde. The acetaldehyde accumulation can be caused by a missense polymorphism that encodes the enzyme, acetaldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH2), normally responsible for breaking down acetaldehyde, a product of the metabolism of alcohol. The acetaldehyde accumulation can also be caused by a polymorphism in the gene encoding the ADH1B enzyme, increasing production of acetaldehyde by more rapid metabolism of alcohol. Flushing, or blushing, is associated with the erythema (reddening caused by dilation of capillaries) of the face, neck, shoulder, and in some cases, the entire body after consumption of alcohol.”

Red Face Alcohol – long term dangers

There is STRONG scientific evidence (not hard proof YET) that people who are susceptible to this condition and these symptoms when consuming alcohol are at much higher risk for cancer of both the esophagus (tube food goes down when you swallow) and the stomach. Acetaldehyde (the waste product produced in your when as your body digests alcohol) is a known carcinogen and recent research strongly suggests that alcohol flush-afflicted individuals consuming alcohol continually may be at a higher risk for alcohol-related diseases, such as liver and esophageal cancers and digestive tract cancer

Red Face Alcohol – the cure

There are two ways that you can deal with the Asian Glow and its symptoms.

Consumption of Famotidine (found in the heartburn medications Zantac and Pepcid AC) 30-60 minutes before consuming alcohol. The problems with this solution alone is the Famotidine actually causes increase blood alcohol levels or in lay terms will make you get a lot drunker a lot faster. (oh boy, I hope no college kids are reading this) This treatment is not consistently or reliably effective. It works for some sufferers of Asian Flush and not others. In the individuals it does work for it works some of the time and sometimes not.

The only know treatment that seems to work with blazing success is called the No Red Face Formula. It is basically a recipe of ingredients you find at home or the grocery store. The no red face formula…
Is currently a non prescription treatment is very inexpensive to make is 100% effective in 100% of people who use it (given this fact it will probably not be too long before it becomes illegal and only available by prescription)

Alcoholism Rehab in a Natural Way

Here we talk about the natural therapies in place at alcoholism rehab centers, and which are used to cleanse the body of an alcohol addict. These therapies remove the damaging toxins brought in and retained by the body through over use of alcohol.

Long periods of sobriety have been achieved by many addicts using these natural therapies and who have been convinced of their good effect. The natural therapies recommended herein join hands with proven alcoholism rehab methods in dealing with alcohol addiction, and are a great resource in the restoration of the physical well being of the addict.

Changes in the Diet

The preliminary step in starting alcoholism rehab is to stop the consumption of alcohol by the addict. The process of rehabilitation by healing therapy is actually improved on and sped up by this stoppage of alcohol consumption and also increases the possibility of total body and health restoration.

The replacement of alcohol by the provision of vegetables and fruits that will form the basis of an organic diet must now occur. Theses fruit and vegetables will support and intensify the alcoholism rehab process and will actually help remove toxins.

The consumption of refined sugar must be banned or at least greatly reduced, and this reduction will support the blood chemistry retain its balance with sugar.

Exercise & Exertion

Actual physical exertions exemplified by Yoga, Pilates, and other such exercises are very useful in this process of alcoholism rehab and will aid the whole body. These physical exertions support and aid the creation of very strong contacts between body and mind. This contact or connection is vital in an individual’s realization of the harmfulness of high levels of alcohol intake and will support the attempts of the alcoholism rehab program to eliminate the habit.

Water & Vitamins

Adequate hydration is most vital in persons going through alcoholism rehab and they are advised and requested to consume at least eight glasses of water daily. Apart from hydration, the consumption of more water aids in the removal of toxins from the physical system of the addict and supports the correct whole body functioning.

Heroin Addiction – What Does it Look Like?

]]>

The reason many people point to heroin addiction to justify their own drug abuses is that heroin is considered by many to be the “worst” or “scariest” drug out there.

One of the reasons that people fear heroin is that it is very addictive. Unlike other drugs, a person only needs to use heroin a few times before the drug addiction takes hold. A person can start to experience withdrawal symptoms after as few as three days of use.

Why do people take heroin?

People use heroin because, as it takes effect, it causes the drug user to feel a sense of intense euphoria. As the heroin takes hold this euphoria scales down until the user feels deeply relaxed. The user drifts in and out of this state. After a while, the heroin user loses his ability to function mentally because the drug depresses his central nervous system. The last effects of heroin include slower movements, impaired vision, slurred speech, small pupils, vomiting and even constipation.

The “coming down” is the reason that people get so easily addicted to the drug. They will take a second dose of heroin to stop the “coming down effects” and the longer a person does this, the worse the effects of coming down become.

What does heroin addiction actually look like?

A person who is addicted to heroin will have collapsed veins (due to the regular injections of the drug), heart and valve infections, liver disease, problems breathing, and can easily develop pneumonia and organ disease. When the drug addict tries to stop using heroin, he will experience bone pain, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea, insomnia, intense cravings for the drug and intense restlessness. Withdrawal symptoms can start to take hold in as little as two days after the person finishes coming down from his last heroin injection and can last for as long as a week.

Why is heroin addiction dangerous?

It is important to note that any type of drug addiction is dangerous and heroin addiction can be more harrowing than other types of addictions drug users develop. Because the drug affects a heroin addict’s ability to breathe and fight infection, the heroin addict has a harder time fighting off illnesses that would normally not be a big deal-the common cold can spell disaster for a heroin addict.

If you are afraid that someone you know is addicted to heroin it is important to find a way to get the person to enter a drug treatment program. If you have been experimenting with heroin yourself, it is better to stop using before a hardcore addiction takes hold.

We all consume medicines to treat some diseases and relieve ourselves from pain or suffering but unfortunately sometimes these medicines affect our mind and body adversely. To our very surprise these medicines which are taken to cure disease sometimes becomes our addiction and that is where the problem starts. Oxycontin falls under this genre of narcotic painkillers, which contains chemical called opioids, which bind with the receptors in brain, and it is addictive if taken for a long period. Oxycontin is prescribed to people who suffer from chronic pain or any injury. But if the person continue having this drug then they are likely to get addictive to this painkiller.

However, people derives different feeling from this drug, but normally people feels a sense of ‘high’ after consuming this drug. Oxycontin is either taken intranasal that is sniffing it up into the nose or intravenously that is mixing the medicine with water then injecting it inside the body with a syringe through the veins. Other opiates drug includes Heroin, Vicodin, Morphine; Percodan etc. Oxycontin addiction can become serious in the course of time and might have to undergo treatment to cure the Oxy Addiction. Due to its addictive quality, Oxycontin addiction is increasing at a faster pace mainly among younger people. According to reports college and school students in United States are having Oxycontin without prescription thereby increasing the rate of Oxy addiction.

When this drug is consumed it creates a pleasant feeling in the mind of the addict, but after the effect wears off then the person feels a sense of irritation and discomfort thereby making the person highly dependent on this drug. As Oxycontin addiction is strong enough so as its withdrawal effect. A person who is highly addicted to this drug can suffer from vomiting, shaking violently, unbearable pain and even uncontrollable diarrhea. If the addiction goes out of control then proper treatment is necessary to minimize the Oxy addiction. The detoxification can be very painful and unbearable for the patients. To ease the pain of detoxification of the drug there are opiate detox facilities using medicines like Suboxone.

To free a person completely from the addiction they should be admitted to a drug rehabilitation centre, where under residential complex patients are treated with different treatment procedure thereby helping them both mentally and physically to overcome the Oxycontin addiction. If diagnosed at an early stage, Oxy addiction is also curable thereby gifting a person a normal and healthy life.

What Is Pulsatile Tinnitus? Awareness Advice

One of the most uncomfortable sensations felt is the ringing of the ears. This is medically known as tinnitus and can be cause by many other diseases. It is not right to categorize it as a disease but rather a symptom that signals a disease. You perceive a noise that resembles whistling, roaring or ringing. In some cases it sounds more like a pulsing or a beating within the ears. Although it is uncommon, it happens. This is called pulsatile tinnitus.
